Clinicians play a critical role in the safety of their patients. This webinar will use real-life dental practice scenarios to engage attendees in problem-solving discussions on three hot topics in dentistry: instrument processing, dental unit waterlines, and the opioid crisis.

Learning Objectives:

Jennifer Hawley Price, MS

Ms. Price is Chief Engagement and Development Officer at Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and the DALE Foundation. In her current role, Jen oversees the design, implementation, and management of DALE Foundation educational products and supports DANB and DALE Foundation in strategic initiatives, including collaborative work with key partners in the dental industry.

Ginny Jorgensen, CDA, EFDA, EFODA, AAS

Ms. Jorgensen was a general chairside and orthodontic assistant for many years prior to becoming a full-time clinical dental assisting instructor at Portland Community College from 1998 to 2014. She is the owner of Smith & Jorgensen Dental Consulting, a company that provides current infection control, audits, and compliance training for dental professionals. Ginny is a past president of the Dental Auxiliary Learning Education (DALE) Foundation and serves on the national Infection Control Certificate Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC) for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).

Michele Lash, RDH, BA

Ms. Lash is a Senior Manager in Clinical Research and Scientific Support for Dentsply Sirona with more than 20 years of experience in the dental hygiene profession. Over the last several years, with Dentsply Sirona, she has developed a scientific evidence-based clinical education curriculum and resources for dental healthcare professionals (DHCPs), key opinion leaders, and internal team training. Keeping abreast of scientific literature and clinical trends allows her to provide insights for new product development. She is a current member of ADHA, IFDH, and OSAP and serves on committees for OSAP and recently, she attained the OSAP-DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control CertificateTM.
