Early on during the pandemic, the Food and Drug Administration issued guidance to help expedite the development of COVID-19 vaccines. This session will provide an overview of expedited vaccine development, explain the potential importance of vaccine booster doses, and discuss the COVID-19 vaccines available for various populations.

1. Provide an overview of the vaccine development process for the COVID-19 vaccine
2. Review the data supporting the use of the currently authorized or approved vaccines in various populations
3. Discuss the future development of COVID-19 vaccines
