This session will discuss concepts of a high-reliability organization (HRO), focusing on creating a culture of safety in the dental practice. Additionally, Dr. Salvon-Harmon and Dr. LaMarre will discuss patient safety events, including how to handle such events when they occur and tools to avoid patient safety events.

Jeff Salvon-Harman, MD, CPE, CPPS

Dr. Jeff Salvon-Harman is the Chief Patient Safety Officer and Vice President of the Quality Institute at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He joined Presbyterian Healthcare after retiring from the US Public Health Service during which he served in the Indian Health Service and the US Coast Guard. Dr. Salvon-Harman is a Certified Physician Executive and Certified Professional in Patient Safety who leads High Reliability transformation for the Presbyterian Healthcare Integrated Delivery System.
