This course reinforces the nine steps for processing contaminated dental instruments. Ready reference charts summarize the administrative, pre-, and post-sterilization procedures and tips for protecting dental instruments. A workplace scenario describes how a busy Monday morning places a dilemma on dental staff to address a shortage of sterilized instrument set-ups. The team suggests several ways to resolve the difficulty, but at what risk to patient safety?
