Many steps and protocols are involved in ensuring effective and repeatable infection control for safe patient care. Among these, one of the critical components is instrument processing. During the first part of this webinar, we will discuss recent questions about instrument processing and the answers to these questions. The second part of the webinar will be an open question and answer session addressing questions submitted by live webinar attendees during the webinar.

Learning Objectives:

After completing this course, learners should be able to:

1. Review common questions in instrument processing and be able to provide the correct answers to these.
2. Give an overview of infection control protocols, in particular instrument processing.
3. List and describe at least three misperceptions related to these protocols.
