Package Description

Using a largely unscripted mock trial format, two veteran trial attorneys will represent their clients before the judge and jury to determine whether ACME Dental Inc is liable for damages suffered by the dentist plaintiff related to an outbreak caused by dental water contamination. Attendees will be the jurors as they vote using their electronic devices to determine the outcome of the trial.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Understand the differences between civil and criminal jurisprudence using scenarios based on cases involving both malpractice and product liability.
2. Clarify the importance of proper documentation and record keeping as essential elements of practice risk management
3. Explain how critical evidence-based expert witness testimony can be in determining case outcomes
4 Elaborate why properly validated instructions for use are essential elements of risk avoidance for dental manufacturers and vendors

Dr. Zinman is a Periodontist. He is a former lecturer at the UCSF Department of Periodontology. He is an attorney specializing in dental jurisprudence which has included dental unit waterline cases.
