During this panel discussion, you will hear from industry leaders regarding their experiences earning certification, including Certified in Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC) and Dental Industry Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control (DISIPC). Learn how education and certification in dental infection prevention and control have impacted patients, colleagues, and our panelists’ work in the dental industry.

Gaylene Baker, MBA, RDH, DISIPC

Gaylene Baker is a licensed RDH in Illinois, Past President of IDHA, and has earned her PHDH certification. She is passionate about infection prevention in dentistry and recently achieved the OSAP DANBE DISIPC certification. Providing in office trainings, webinars, speaking in front of groups, one on one sessions, and training sales teams are a few ways she continues to bring safety to dentistry. She has attended several OSAP meetings and Bootcamps and currently works with Air Techniques as the Monarch National Sales Manager and Merchandise Specialist for the Central Region. Amy Gagne, RDHEF

Amy Gagne, RDH brings 25 years in the dental industry. Early in her clinical hygiene career, she recognized how important it was to bring innovative, high-quality, safe, and user-friendly technology to the dental team. Her career has been focused on training and educating and has created a path of high-growth organizations.

Pamela Simmons

Pamela Simmons is an Infection Prevention Manager at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She is responsible for the day to day operations implementation and monitoring of the Infection Control Program, ensuring practices, policies and procedures are up to date according to the recommendations of the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and Organization of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Pamela has been a member of the OSAP community since 2013 and earned Certified Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC) certification in March of 2023.
