Kandis V. Garland, RDH, MS, CDIPC

Ms. Garland is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at Laramie County Community College. She has been an active OSAP member serving on several committees and authoring a paper for OSAP/NIOSH. She received the OSAP Emerging Leader Award in 2017. She served a five-year term on the American Dental Association Dental Hygiene National Board Test Construction Committee. Her research focuses on infection control and dental hygiene competency and has been published in the Journal of Dental Hygiene, the Journal of Dental Education, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, Mentor Magazine, Decisions in Dentistry, and Access Magazine. She has presented her research at regional, national, and international meetings. She serves as a manuscript reviewer and as an infection control “Ask the Expert” Columnist for Dimensions of Dental Hygiene. She is a member of the Crosstex Luminary Council. Kandis works as a clinical dental hygienist and provides consulting services in infection control. Ms. Garland is also a consultant and educator for Tuttnauer.
