Respirators and Respiratory Protection Program (On-Demand)

This presentation will summarize common types of respiratory protection used in healthcare settings. Additionally, the presentation will provide an overview of current high-priority topics associated with personal protective equipment (PPE) with an emphasis on CDC respiratory protection as well as new technologies available, counterfeit issues, international respirator assessments, and PPE research updates. The presentation will also cover the respiratory protection program, a written program required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134).
