Brittany Turner, DMD, MS

Dr. Turner is a native of Minnesota. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida. Post-doctoral education includes a general practice residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and a Masters in Oral and Maxillofacial radiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board certified in infection prevention and control and currently serves as the high level disinfection and sterilization Navy clinical community co-chair. Dr. Turner has been serving in military dentistry for over 10 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing tennis.

Damon Pope, DMD

Dr. Pope received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio.  After dental school, Dr. Pope joined the Air Force and furthered his education by completing an Advanced Education of General Dentistry residency at Scott Air Force Base. He also completed an Advanced Clinical Dentistry Preceptorship at Ellsworth Air Force Base. He continued to serve in the Air Force for four years before joining the Indian Health Service team at the Crow Service Unit as a Chief Dental Officer. Dr. Pope also served as CDO at Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center. Dr. Pope is currently the DOH National Dental Infection Control Consultant and Deputy Project Manager for the IHS Electronic Dental Record.

Kelli Mack, DDS

Dr. Kelli C. Mack is a dentist licensed in California and Texas with 27 years of experience in organized dentistry. She received a Bachelor’s in Microbiology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in from Howard University in 1989 and 1995 respectively. Additionally, Dr. Mack completed a fellowship in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) at Veterans Affairs Pittsburg Healthcare System, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2013. Dr. Mack has successfully directed dental IPC programs for more than 19 years. She has experience with private sector, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and military dental clinics. Dr. Mack has contributed to IPC policy development and execution for all Defense Health Agency dental treatment facilities. She has also developed and published guidelines and training for the US Air Force Dental Infection Prevention & Control and Patient Safety Programs and published Infection prevention and control and Patient Safety articles in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Mack is an internationally recognized expert in dental IPC and patient safety. She consults and lectures throughout the United States and abroad. She has been a member of Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) committees to review and analyze national dental exam questions to help standardize and develop IPC exam certification. Dr. Mack currently serves as a Board of Directors member for the sole dental membership association for oral health care professionals that focuses exclusively on dental infection prevention and safety, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).

Kim Grady, DDS, MPH, CDIPC

Dr. Kim Grady is currently the Lead Dental Consultant, Infection Prevention and Control at Defense Health Agency.

Michael Joseph, DDS, MSD

Dr. Michael Joseph has been one of the Dental Infection Control Consultants for the VHACO of Dentistry since 2010.  Dr. Joseph is also the Chief of the Dental Service in Huntington, WV, and is the VISN 5 Lead Dentist.

Stephen Hutton, DMD, MPH, MS

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Dr. Steve Hutton was commissioned an ensign through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Program at Boston University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in BioMedical Engineering. He earned a Master of Public Health from A.T. Still University and a Master of Science from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After receiving his Doctor in Dental Medicine, he completed post-graduate training in periodontics at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and served as Military Fellow at The Joint Commission. He served the Consultant for Dental Infection Control and Patient Safety to Chief Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and his final tour after 21 years of service was as Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Associate Director for Quality at Naval Medical Center San Diego.  Dr. Hutton is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics, a member of the Intenational Sociatey of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons and is focused in private practice in performing high quality, minimally invasive microsurgy at Hutton & Norland Oral Plastic Surgery in La Jolla, California.
