Eve Cuny, MS, CDIPC

Ms. Cuny is the Executive Associate Dean at Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California, where she is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences. Ms. Cuny is a consultant to the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and is a member of the National Occupational Research Agenda Council in the Health Care and Social Assistance sector. She has served as an expert reviewer and advisor to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She received the James Crawford Award for Lifetime Achievement in dental infection control in 2009. She is an internationally recognized expert in infection control in dentistry; publishing, consulting, and lecturing throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. She has earned the OSAP-DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control Certificate™ and earned her Certified in Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC) certification.

Karen Gregory, RN, CDIPC

Ms. Gregory is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer skilled in translating regulatory and compliance information into captivating educational programming for healthcare workers. She is Certified in Dental Infection Prevention and Control® (CDIPC®), serves as a subject matter expert in dental infection prevention and control, and specializes in packaging process and policy content for successful integration into practice. In fact, she recently was involved in the update of the unforgettable teaching tool, “If Saliva Were Red” and was Editor-in-Chief of the online tool, “Best Practices for Infection Control in Dental Clinics During the COVID-19 Pandemic”. She is currently on the Editorial Review Board of the popular newsletter, Infection Control in Practice.

Ms. Gregory served on the Board of Directors of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) and has been awarded all three of the organization’s top leadership awards. She volunteers for the Charlotte North Carolina Missions of Mercy in an effort to help those in need. Early in 2023, she launched her own consulting firm to “inspire frontline healthcare workers to include safety in every process”.

Kathy Eklund, RDH, MHP

Kathy Eklund is the Sr. Director of Occupational Health and Safety, and the Forsyth Research Subject & Patient Safety Advocate at The Forsyth Institute. She is adjunct faculty at Regis College, Dental Hygiene Program, teaching a senior-level course, Evidence-Based Decision Making. Ms. Eklund serves as faculty for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center and HIVdent.org. She is the Chair of the Organization for Safety Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) Foundation Board of Directors and has been an active member of OSAP since 1985. Over the past 38 years, Ms. Eklund has published papers and contributed to several texts on infection control & safety and is an author of the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings- 2003. She has lectured nationally and internationally on these topics.

Kelli Mack, DDS

Dr. Kelli C. Mack is a dentist licensed in California and Texas with 27 years of experience in organized dentistry. She received a Bachelor’s in Microbiology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in from Howard University in 1989 and 1995 respectively. Additionally, Dr. Mack completed a fellowship in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) at Veterans Affairs Pittsburg Healthcare System, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2013. Dr. Mack has successfully directed dental IPC programs for more than 19 years. She has experience with private sector, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and military dental clinics. Dr. Mack has contributed to IPC policy development and execution for all Defense Health Agency dental treatment facilities. She has also developed and published guidelines and training for the US Air Force Dental Infection Prevention & Control and Patient Safety Programs and published Infection prevention and control and Patient Safety articles in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Mack is an internationally recognized expert in dental IPC and patient safety. She consults and lectures throughout the United States and abroad. She has been a member of Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) committees to review and analyze national dental exam questions to help standardize and develop IPC exam certification. Dr. Mack currently serves as a Board of Directors member for the sole dental membership association for oral health care professionals that focuses exclusively on dental infection prevention and safety, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).
